Health and Nutrition

The Government and the N.H.S. are encouraging families to eat five portions of fruits and vegetables each day. We follow these guidelines when compiling our Menus and children are offered a selection of fresh fruit every day. Fruit and vegetables are key to a healthier lifestyle and we promote healthy eating and lifestyles in all our nurseries. We also encourage physical exercise and help children learn that exercise is fun by providing a range of stimulating individual and group activities in both the indoor and outdoor environment.

We have the highest rating (5) for Food Hygiene and have gained the Food Safety Award in accordance with this. We have also achieved the Nutrition and Oral Health Award for under fives.
